Helping Children’s Charities With Your Credit Card

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Joseph Kenny People donate to charity in a number of ways. They give old clothes, bake and sell cakes, or contribute their time. Now there’s an even easier way to support your favourite charity by using your credit card. People have been able to use their credit cards to make direct payments to charity for quite some time. But now many charities are automating the practice of receiving donations by launching their own credit cards backed by major banks. Charity Credit Cards How They Work Charity credit cards donate to charities in two ways. People apply for credit cards as usual. Once the application is accepted, the issuing bank donates a lump sum to the charity. This can vary considerably, from as little as 5 to 40 or more. The second part of the donation is a fixed percentage of spending on credit card purchases. Again, this rate can vary from around 0.25% to 1%. This means that charities get 25 pence for every 100 spent on the card. Some card issuers offer an incentive for repeated spending on the card or for continuing to keep the card. This usually means another lump sum donation to the charity at the end of a set period, such as a year. Children’s Charity Credit Cards There are many charities that issue credit cards, including many popular children’s charities. The NSPCC (National Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Children) card is backed by Halifax and offers a preferential rate on balance transfers for six months. Other credit cards for charities that benefit children include: 1. Barnardos issued by Cooperative Bank2. Children in Crisis issued by Cooperative Bank3. Childline - issued by MBNA4. Children’s Aid issued by Cooperative Bank5. Children’s Society issued by Cooperative Bank6. Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital7. Mencap issued by Halifax8. Save the Children issued by Cooperative Bank All of these credit cards offer a one-off donation when the card is issued, a percentage of spending donated to charity and an additional donation for continued use of the credit card. Looking For The Best Charity Credit Card Deal In addition to donating to charity, most charity credit cards offer the same benefits as other credit cards. It is worth shopping around for the best deal. There are many websites that have credit card comparison charts to help people decide on the best mix of features. Many charity credit cards have introductory offers. These include 0% balance transfer rates for fixed periods. Some card issuers charge a one-off fee for balance transfers to stop the practice of rate jumping. Other introductory offers include long term low interest rates, low or 0% interest rates on purchases, reward points and more. Shopping around for the best credit card deal will give consumers a credit card that suits their spending habits. At the same time, they will be able to automate their charitable contributions. This benefits both consumers and charities. Joe Kenny writes for CardGuide.co.uk, with the latest credit cards, and more info on the best credit cards. Targeting Your B2B Lead Generation Efforts

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Mac McIntosh When searching for prospects to buy your products or services, you want to find those companies who have a problem for which you have the solution. The methods you use in finding and contacting those companies will determine if your business-to-business lead generation efforts will be a success or a failure. Begin by creating lists that rank your current customers in three categories: Gross revenue. Place the largest companies at the top of the list and the smallest at the bottom. Profitability. List from most profitable to least profitable. Keep in mind that the most profitable are not necessarily those with the most gross revenue. Fit. Which companies represent the best fit for what you are selling? This ranking is more subjective than the first two. It identifies the companies you know well, those with business you understand, those that are fun to work with, those you understand best and those with which you haveor could havea great working relationship. Rank these companies in order, descending from the best fit. Your ideal customers are those that are at, or near, the top of all three lists. While reviewing your existing customers, consider the following questions: What industries are they in? Are they small, medium or large businesses? Where are they located geographically? What is their Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code? What are the titles or job functions of their decision-makers? This information will help you focus your efforts to find similar companies and decision-makers to target with your b2b marketing efforts. Determine what is unique about these leads so that you can find more like them. In addition to looking at your current customer base, review your companys internal expertise and credentials to determine likely prospects for your solutions. If your company is a start-up and has no existing customers, you can leverage your own past experience and that of your people. Think about the kinds of companies you and your team have had success with in previous jobs. You also can educate yourself on a vertical market (i.e., a particular industry, such as residential or commercial construction, banking, distribution or the retail clothing business), weaving the industrys concerns and buzzwords into your marketing-for-leads materials. This will suggest that you do understand the market and its needs. However, be prepared to answer the question, Who else in my industry have you served? It is bound to come up. If you dont believe you can successfully sell into vertical markets, consider horizontal markets. These are markets that cross industry lines. For example, if your ultimate goal is to sell to the residential or commercial construction industry, you might want to first target small- to medium-sized businesses in need of material handling equipment. Another way to look at the marketplace is geographically. Then you would focus on targeting companies within a particular area, whether it is a city, state, region or country. Although theoretically every company, in every business, may benefit from your solution, you cant afford to try to be everything to everyone. You must pick the companies with which you are likely to have the best success and the individuals within those companies who are in the best position to recommend or buy your products or services. The next step in targeting your marketplace is to determine to which media the target audience is exposed. For example, what trade magazines do they read? This may include national publications, regional magazines or the regional editions of national publications. In addition, think about: Websites your target contacts visit for professional information. Professional associations to which they belong. Conferences and tradeshows they attend. Newsletters to which they subscribe. Each of these, potentially, is the source of a mailing list, Web site, conference or publication that would be appropriate for reaching your target contacts. You are now ready to devise ways to utilize these target resources to generate leads. There are a number of marketing vehicles available to you, ranging from newspaper advertising to putting your company logo on the Goodyear blimp. However, some marketing methods have proven to be more successful than others for business-to-business marketing. Once you have targeted your audience and youve developed your marketing database, you are ready to put together a plan utilizing tried-and-true basics of marketing for leads. These include: Direct response marketing, which utilizes direct mail or direct response print advertising to generate inquiries. PR in industry or trade publications, newsletters or Web sites. Online marketing, which utilizes email and/or banner ads with strong offers and easy-to-use response forms to catch searchers. Company Web sites that have been optimized to be found at the top of search engine results and bridge the gap between marketing and sales with more in-depth pre-sales information. Relationship marketing to nurture and qualify the longer-term prospects. Events to help move prospects towards purchase. Sales tools to help your sales team sell. M. H. Online Fast and Quick Cash Loan Until Payday In Advance

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Keith_Kingston]Keith Kingston This means that we have to think of ways that we can get money online, and this can easily be done by going on Google and checking out the options. The facts are that companies are willing to let you borrow money as long as you pay them it back plus interest. Let me give you an example of what this means, if you owe me $100 and you are going to pay me it back in 1 years time with 5% APR then you will owe me $105 in total. However with a secure instant cash advance approval this amount is a lot higher because you are borrowing small amounts of money over short periods of time. Here is a typical example of an online fast and quick cash loan until payday in advance. Alan hops online and types payday cash loan into Google, and up pops loads of options down the left, and right margins. Alan clicks on one and fills out the online form, he finds out that as long as he pays the loan back he gets to keep his house, and If he doesnt then he may loose his home and his car! He is going to borrow $1000 for month and finds out that this is going to cost 2.5% a week. How much will he have to pay back in total? He will have to pay back (2.5*4/1000) + 1000 = $1100 in total. That means that his loan cost $100 less inflation as a percentage of 100 for the week. That is why Alan needs to consider if he has other, cheaper options. Afraid of CHANGE - Changing Aspects Of A Relationship And Relationship Maintenance

Monday, September 10th, 2007

By Michael Douglas Even though change is an inevitable part of life, many people often fear any kind of change. Therefore, it is no surprise that when things start changing within a relationship it could cause one or both partners to question their relationship. These changes can be something as small as you not getting a haircut or letting go as far as your image is concerned. You need to understand that just because things are changing; it does not mean it is a bad thing. It simply means your partner is getting very comfortable with you and probably does not feel the need to impress anymore. However, if your relationship is changing and you don’t know why, read on to know some common changes that relationships go through and why people don’t like those changes: CHECK YOUR APPEARANCE When you and your partner met for the first time, he or she was probably attracted to you on the basis of how you presented yourself. Later, they probably got to know you as a person and learnt to appreciate you for who you are and not how you look. While this is great, after a while you might get so comfortable in the relationship that you stop keeping a check on your appearance. Why your partner hates it: Even if your partner does love you for the person you are and you have reached a point in your relationship where it does not matter how you look anymore, impressions still count. Maybe not at a superficial level where you have to look good all the time. But, just because you are comfortable with someone does not mean you can go around looking like a complete mess. Your partner still has to look at you and feel attracted to you. So if your feel you have started to let go of your image - stop and learn to take better care of yourself. WATCH YOUR MANNERS In the beginning of a relationship, you are angling for a commitment from your partner. Therefore, you will always be well behaved. You probably won’t burp or talk with your mouth full. Once you get your commitment though, you might start being yourself and yes, an occasional burp is only human and excusable. But making a habit of it, unmindful of your partner watching is another thing all together. Why your partner hates it: It might be surprising to your partner that his or her prince or princess charming is a big slob. No one is asking you to be proper at all times, but even if you are 100 per cent committed to your partner, a few courtesies like excusing yourself when you burp, won’t kill you. NO MORE LOVE You could not stop complimenting your partner when you first met him or her and now you barely notice them. Why your partner hates it: If you stop noticing your partner, he or she might think you are running out of love for him or her. If your partner gets a new haircut or buys new clothes, try to notice it and give him or her occasional compliments, it will keep the romance in your relationship alive. YOUR START FORGETTING From remembering every single detail about his or her life, you start to forget important dates like birthdays and anniversaries. Why your partner hates it: Well it is pretty obvious. A birthday or an anniversary is an important occasion that everyone would like to be wished for. Even if you regret forgetting and get him or her the best birthday present - they will still feel bad that you forgot. So, don’t be insensitive and forget, make a note of it somewhere and you’ll avoid a lot of relationship trouble. TEMPER If you constantly get irritable when you used to control your temper around him or her, your partner has good reason to get annoyed. Why your partner hates it: Consider his or her perspective: They entered the relationship with a seemingly even-tempered person, but he or she turns out to be an impatient, bad-tempered stress case. How fair is that? NO MORE COMPROMISE You used to be happy to spend time with his or her family, but now you’re not as willing. Or maybe you used to put up with seeing the occasional romantic comedy and now you only want to watch action or girly flicks. If you used to make compromises, but now you’re completely inflexible, you might want to reconsider your change of behaviour. Why your partner hates it: Of all the relationship changes people hate, this is probably the most serious offence. People tend to be compromising by nature, and if your boyfriend girlfriend doesn’t see you reciprocating, you might get thrown out of the door. One of the benefits of a long-term relationship is that you can finally loosen up and stop trying to impress the other person, but be careful not to go to the other extreme. Michael Douglas is a relationship expert and he deals with various problems and issues in a relationship viz. relationship communication, insecurity in relationship, commitment in relationship Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Douglas http://EzineArticles.com/?Afraid-of-CHANGE—Changing-Aspects-Of-A-Relationship-And-Relationship-Maintenance&id=344274 anal came itch him burning the simran do fuck they sex all change if pictures on milf himself queen now

The Wedding Favor Ideas To Choose

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

By Roy Dietelzieg It is a season of excitement, pleasure, and enjoyment. It is the time when the family members, close relatives, new and old friends gather as one in the celebration of another beginning in ones life. Weddings entail boisterous settings, elegant attires, tasty food, and of coursethe wedding favors! What are wedding favors? Wedding favors are certainly the tokens of appreciation which the bride and the groom hand to the people who took part in making the event a success. Wedding favors have in time become important parts of the wedding traditions all over the globe. The newly married couples need to express their thanks to all the people who gave a helping hand to them during the entire course of the wedding process. What should you consider when choosing wedding favors? As the couple, you must think of the suitable wedding favors that you will provide your guests with. More so, never fail your budget. First think about the theme of the wedding. Second, go over your available budget. From here you will be able to derive the proper wedding favor that you can make use of. Choosing the right wedding favors can be really tedious. There are so many wedding favors that come available from where you can choose. One of the most common wedding favors is the edible food. The wedding favors can be placed on the plate since most of the guests really get too hungry after witnessing the wedding rights. The most traditional wedding favors are the sugared almonds. However, it must be of great concern to you that not all of the guests may enjoy the sugared almonds so you must have an instant alternative to it. If the modern wedding favors are your choice, you can choose from a wide array of goblets, pens, trinket boxes, vases, wedding flowers, key chains, and many others. One good idea of letting your guests choose the wedding favors that they like is to employ a table at the center part of the hall. One portion of the table contains the sweet wedding favors while the other part has the personalized modern wedding favors. Giving them lottery tickets can also be a good idea. The tickets will determine the kind of wedding favor each of them will receive. No matter what kind of wedding favor idea you will finally decide on, remember that in the end of the day it is your wedding and it is important that you have fun, there is no point to making yourself go crazy in search for the ultimate wedding favor, or spending large sums of money for lavish favors, keep it simple and elegant, and most importantly have fun. Wedding Favors are becoming so popular that you should put in some time in finding the best favor for your event. Aptitude Tests Reveal the Difference Between Your Aptitude & Ability

Friday, September 7th, 2007

By Roger Clark Aptitude tests measure your skills, abilities, values, interests and personality in order to help you determine which careers you might be best suited for and eliminate those that you are not. Aptitude tests are some of the most important tools to anyone considering a career change. Job satisfaction for individuals depends on several different factors. An increasing number of people now do not cite money as the most important factor in picking a career. Other factors of importance are if they like their workplace, if they enjoy the work they do, and if their work receives acknowledgment and acclaim Types of Aptitude Tests Free Tests Employers and the Career Aptitude Test More and more employers are also beginning to utilize aptitude tests in order to screen applicants because they also realize that the best candidate for their opening is the person who not only has the required experience but also complementing interests and aptitudes. Many major companies have realized the importance of assessing candidates. Do not be surprised if you end up taking one of these tests during your job interview. The tests help the employers figure out if candidates will be able to fit into the work environment at their company and if their personality traits are in collusion with the companys values and work code. Aptitude and Ability So, what is the difference between aptitude and ability? They sound alike, but are vastly different… An individual may have acquired the necessary experience in order to have an ability to complete a task, but not an aptitude for it. Aptitude refers to possessing more of a natural talent for a task, even if that talent is not yet fully developed. Why Take an Aptitude Test? Aptitude tests are beneficial for a number of reasons… Benefit #1 Aptitude tests can actually highlight areas of potential talent, in some cases, aptitudes the individual was not even aware of. Benefit #2 The results of the tests will not only help you set up a career plan, but also help you in your job search. You will be able to build a better resume and ace your interviews if you can clearly identify your skills, strengths and weaknesses. Benefit #3 They are also fantastic for assisting individuals who are considering making a career change but due to current responsibilities want to insure they are moving in the right direction before taking a risk. Benefit #4 A career aptitude test can also assist persons who are considering either starting college or adults who are returning to college. Tuition is far too costly to play trial and error with. It’s much better to go into the classroom armed with the knowledge that you possess both the interest and the aptitude to succeed in your chosen career field. Life is far too precious to spend it in a career you thought would be a perfect fit… … for you only to discover that there are aspects of it that make you miserable. Aptitude tests can help you eliminate the jobs you would be least suited for and discover those careers that are a perfect match for both your interests and your aptitudes. Identifying and understanding your particular career strengths can also assist you in fine tuning the resumes you utilize in your job search. This is important because research has shown that individuals who work in careers that complement their both their interests, abilities and work values are much more likely to be successful and satisfied. The Way to Competitive Bad Credit Secured Personal Loans

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=James_Taylor]James Taylor A colleague of yours recently went for a secured personal loan, and the rate of interest he was promised on the loan had you amazed. How come he was able to get such a competitive rate when you have to bear an expensive rate of interest? Our recipe of dealing with such situations is to be calm and reconsider what was missing in your case. Many a times, the most unnoticed change in circumstances is related to the credit history. Are we asking you to be conscious of the changed circumstances and take the expensive interest rate as granted? No! We are just asking you to not compare with your colleague who may have a good credit history to reckon with. A person with bad credit history, as we will learn later on in the article, implies lesser credibility. Therefore, lenders are only countering themselves against the risk of non-repayment. So you can expect a rate of interest, which is higher than the rate normally promised on bad credit secured personal loans. However, if your colleague too had a bad credit and in spite of that, there were differences in rates then it is a matter of concern. The first step in the diagnosis will be to check which lender advanced the bad credit secured personal loans. Check the interest rate that it offers. Often the various lending agencies in the UK do not offer a similar interest rate. If this has been the case then you need to diagnose no further and accept it as your fate that you hooked up with this lender and not the one who offers lower rate. Instead of searching for lower rate, search for a reasonable rate. A reasonable rate of interest is often the standard and has been accepted after taking into account the risk factor and several other factors. So ask for a reasonable and competitive rate when taking bad credit secured personal loans. Lenders will take into account the customers credit score and fix the interest rate accordingly. Credit score is derived by allowing for credit deformities like County Court Judgements, Individual Voluntary Arrangements, bankruptcy and even defaults and arrears. As we said earlier, you need not be conscious with a bad credit your credit file. The instances of bad credit have become quite popular these days and lenders are no longer disturbed by it. This explains the reason why bad credit secured personal loans are so easily available. And one cannot sideline the two most important benefits of bad credit secured personal loans. Firstly, one is able to use the accumulated equity in asset or property. Secondly, persons credit history improves. And all these in the process when you are enjoying the funds released by bad credit secured personal loans. How to Create the Perfect Invitation for Your Party

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

By Kelli Mahoney Invitations are a key part of planning any event, and they range from hand written postcards and e-invites to professionally printed invitations and singing telegrams. Despite the wide range of invitation styles, there are a few key points you need to remember when creating invitations for your event. What Type of Party? You are planning the party, so you already know, but your guests dont. Every party has a purpose, so let your potential guests know. Is it a birthday party? Anniversary party? A Baby Shower? Wedding? A simple get-together just for the heck of it? Make sure you are clear on the focus of the celebration. Who is the Party For? You know the type of party, but do let your guest know who the party is for. Just because you are throwing an anniversary party on the 24th of June doesnt mean the world knows it is for John and Jane Doe. Be sure to include the people you are celebrating on your invitations. The Date This seems obvious, right? Sure. Yet year after year I get invitations that fail to give the date of the event. Sometimes it is so obvious we overlook it. The Time Like the date, the time is also a commonly missed item. Be clear on the time the party starts and ends. If you are having an open ended party, state that. Also, if you are planning a surprise party, you need to be sure you state a time when the guest of honor is to arrive. This will prevent people from arriving at a time that will ruin the surprise. Where is the Party? A party is a lot of funif people actually show up. They need to know where to go for the celebrations, so make sure you put the location on the invite in the form of the name of the venue and the address. If you are feeling helpful or if you are planning a more formal event, it is helpful to put in directions, too. RSVP When I plan an event, I like to set an RSVP date. It helps me to know exactly how much space, food, and other items I will need. I confer with my caterers and venue to know exactly what date I will need to give the final tally, and I set the RSVP date for one week prior. This way I can contact people who forget to RSVP in that week to get my final number. Also, be sure to include a phone number or e-mail where guests can RSVP. Other Instructions As you plan your party, be sure you give other pertinent information to your guests. For instance, if it is a surprise party, remind people to not tell the guest of honor. Also, there may be special parking situations or gifts to bring. If you are planning a shower or wedding, the guest of honor may be registered somewhere specific, so include that information on the invitations. Dress codes and limits on children should also be included on invitations. The key to good invitations is to give people all the information they need to know before they get to the party. Guests are more comfortable coming to a party where they know what to expect versus facing the total unknown, and invitations fill that void.
